Apple plans iPhone DST Patch

Apple plans to fix a bug in the summer-time application for the iPhone clock that recurring alarms to leave an hour earlier case.

The error was discovered yesterday morning after daylight saving time for kicks in New South Wales, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, South Australia and Tasmania. If set, the majority of iPhones automatically adjust for daylight saving time and offers a great time. But to start due to a breakdown in the iPhone Alarm Clock application recurring alarms set all that on some days, as an alarm day of the week an hour before the scheduled time.

The only way to avoid this problem is to set the alarm every night, or to change the alarm to be repeated an hour after the alarm time.

Apple Australia told ZDNet Australia that a solution was already in the pipeline.

"We are aware of this problem and has already developed a patch that will be available for customers who come in a software update," Apple said.
